"Original production celebrates Pathway to Prosperity"

Pacific Prosperity Conference: "Adding to New Zealand’s economic success"
21st – 23rd November 2005

The first day of Pacific Prosperity Conference is sure to finish on an energetic note with an original performance from creative media production house, Evolute.

Called Story-time, the show is a multi-art form stage production written and produced by Seini Jensen and Wilmason Jensen, Evolute’s founders.

The show will follow the journey of a young man searching for his path to prosperity.

Together with South Pacific Event Management Ltd, Evolute has combined an impressive array of Pacific creative talent to take the audience on two simultaneous, intertwined journeys; one situated in the real world, the other in a fantastical, mythical world of the past.

The cast of 60 brings together artists from a wide variety of disciplines including dance, film, digital animation, drama and vocalists. Over 100 people will have been involved in the show’s production.

Artists include Samoan actor, Henry Tuipea; Tongan opera singer, Atolomake Helu; leading Samoan fire-dancer, Sopi Jensen; soloist Lapi Mariner, a combined choir from the Pacific communities of the Auckland region and the Atenisi Old Pupils Society Dance Troupe.

Set to an original music score by Wilmason Jensen, featuring renowned Pacific music academic Niulala Helu, the show will feature chants and dances which have not been recorded or performed for more than 50 years.
